We have lost one of the world's great storytellers. One of the great optimists. One of the great fighters. We have lost the thread of our history as only he could remember it. We have lost so many jokes that only he could deliver. He loved his family and his friends with unwavering devotion. He loved Poland. He loved America. He was the very best example of what it meant to be Polish. And what it meant to be American. He was a towering figure in all of our lives. He was the very best father-in-law in the world to me. I will miss his laughter and whistling, his humming, his happy spirit, his newly purchased gadgets, his favorite movies, and the many wonderful ways he loved my childen. I am so happy to have been part of his life.
